News about the restoration
The meticulous restoration efforts on the distinctive art pieces, initiated in 2017, are progressively unfolding across all exhibition spaces, auxiliary chambers, and visitor-accessible utility areas. The renowned Singers’ Hall and the splendid Throne Hall have been fully refurbished. The comprehensive restoration is anticipated to conclude by spring 2024.
Owing to the continuous restoration activities, filming within Neuschwanstein Castle’s interior, including times beyond standard visiting hours, remains impracticable until further notification.
The Marienbrücke bridge in winter
Be aware that throughout the winter season, the Marienbrücke, which spans the Pöllat Gorge, might be subject to closure due to adverse weather conditions.
However, this does not impact the access to the castle or the scheduled guided tours.
Updates regarding the status of the bridge and its access path are available on https://neuschwanstein-experience.com/
